One Care appoints new Director of Digital and Strategy
Rhys Lewis has been appointed as One Care’s new Director of Digital and Strategy from 1 September 2026.
Rhys previously served as Director of Digital and Business Intelligence at One Care and is already well-known across the Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire (BNSSG) healthcare system for his leadership in digital delivery and innovation.
His new role builds on his previous success and will see him lead external partnerships and growth, along with leading One Care’s digital transformation agenda.
Rhys will continue to work closely with the Director of Practice Support and Membership to ensure One Care delivers high-quality, practical digital services that support member practices in their day-to-day work. This includes helping practices make the most of digital tools, navigate system change and adopt innovation safely and confidently.
Rhys said: “I’m looking forward to building on my work at One Care, strengthening our partnerships across BNSSG so general practice plays a leading role in shaping and delivering the changes set out in the NHS 10 Year Health Plan. My focus will be on ensuring digital enables those changes, helping practices work more effectively and making it easier for teams across different services to plan and deliver care together around people’s needs.”
The creation of this new senior role reflects One Care’s ambition to position general practice at the forefront of digital transformation. By combining strategic leadership with a commitment to practically supporting member practices, One Care is influencing system-wide change while continuing to deliver excellent services which meet the everyday needs of its members.
