Overview
Urgent care is one of the transformation priorities in the BNSSG health and care system: Delivering the most appropriate care to the population at the optimal time and place will help the BNSSG population live better for longer.
The urgent care network was established as a committee of the GP Collaborative Board to drive transformation across general practice. The committee brings together clinical insight and experience from 24/7 general practice with change management resource and expertise.
What are the benefits?
Providing a forum to engage general practice efficiently and effectively in system-wide transformation of urgent care, maximising GP voice and influence
Harness the innovative value within general practice to try new ways of doing things, sharing best practice and lessons learned across the system
Develop and deliver an ambitious transformation strategy, informed and led by One Care and the GPCB
Work closely with other parts of the health and care system to identify and align priorities, increasing the chances of collaboration, integration, and successful outcomes.
