Overview
The GPCB Estates programme takes a practical and collaborative approach to general practice estates planning across BNSSG. We aim to understand and communicate the current landscape, identify opportunities, and support practices in navigating estates-related developments or issues.
We work directly with GP practices, the Integrated Care Board (ICB), and system partners to understand individual and system-wide challenges, share information, and explore opportunities for estates funding and space utilisation.
Our focus is on:
- listening to practices to understand real-world estates needs and challenges
- providing tailored support based on each practice’s unique context
- acting as a strategic link between practices and the ICB Estates team – translating, advocating, and facilitating dialogue
- keeping practices informed and prepared for estates funding, resource opportunities, and system developments. This is primarily through our quarterly Estates newsletter, which shares updates on current activity, funding information, resources, accessibility considerations, and answers to common questions
- representing general practice in system-wide estates planning and decision-making meetings
- promoting joined-up planning across general practice, the ICB, and system partners
- maintaining a live library of works to track estates needs and developments across BNSSG
We aim to provide practices with relevant information, practical support, and system connections to enable informed decision-making around estates.
