Overview
One Care is leading a programme to support health and wellbeing across primary care disciplines in Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire (BNSSG). The first programme of its kind, it aims to work with organisations across dentistry, community pharmacy, optometry and general practice to understand the unique issues primary care organisations have and the support required, rather than assuming an ‘off the shelf’ package.
The programme team will use the knowledge gained to inform the BNSSG Integrated Care System (ICS) and future offers of health and wellbeing support for primary care.
The programme has three projects:
- Collating and sharing freely available health and wellbeing support, training, and resources with primary care colleagues.
- A network of health and wellbeing ‘champions’, linked to a peer support network across primary care in BNSSG, to support with promoting health and wellbeing offers and initiatives to their colleagues.
- An enhanced health and wellbeing project, which explores what health and wellbeing means for organisations. It also provides support to embed meaningful health and wellbeing initiatives in your organisation, giving ongoing sustainability for you and your colleagues. This project runs from December 2022 to August 2023 and offers a £2,000 bursary to participating organisations.
