What we do

Community mental health

Overview

The GPCB community mental health programme has been formed to provide input from general practice in BNSSG into the Integrated Care Board community mental health programme.

The system community mental health programme is a transformational piece to build services and team of health professionals around the patient at a locality partnership level. This brings general practice together with social, voluntary, and secondary care partners to provide a personalised data-driven intervention for patients based in the community.

What are the benefits?

Support general practice leadership in partnership working and collaborate with system partners to develop effective community mental health services
Enable practice expertise and experience to inform the system programme
Develop a pan-BNSSG general practice view where useful to support the programme
Supporting locality partnerships to develop outcome-driven place-based services
Supporting new workforce roles in general practice delivering community mental health care
