Senior Facilities Manager

An exciting opportunity to join One Care (BNSSG) Ltd in the role of Senior Facilities ManagerThe post holder will be a key member of the Management Team delivering One Care’s estates and facilities management service to One Care, member practices and Primary Care Networks within BNSSG.

This is a new service and the individual will be responsible for leading development and shaping of this new and exciting offering.

One Care (BNSSG) Limited was established on 1st September 2016 and has 81 of a possible 82 GP partnerships or organisations in Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire as shareholders. It is established for the purpose of supporting these practices in providing collaborative, innovative and sustainable general practice to patients registered with GP practices, together with establishing workable partnerships with the intention of delivering best possible outcomes for general practice with CCGs, NHSE, Hospital trusts and local authorities. The intention is to invest in general practice and to focus predominantly in the sustainability of general practice rather than profit.

The post holder will have an office base at Osprey Court in South Bristol but will be required to work across the Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire (BNSSG) area.

Reporting to the Finance Director, key responsibilities include:

  • Establish strong management processes and controls within One Care to deliver this service to customers, ensuring maintenance programmes and audits are carried out in a timely way and would meet any CQC inspection target
  • To provide professional, leadership and management of One Care’s estates and facilities service offer, to practices and Primary Care Networks within BNSSG.
  • To deliver a value for money service from One Care to its practices ensuring their premises are an environment which is always safe and legally compliant
  • Identify and procure for practices expert 3rd party service providers at best price for high quality service
  • Expedite the delivery of advice to practices, and ensure clear communication to practices of latest guidance across all aspects of facilities management

The successful candidate is likely to be:

  • Educated to degree level
  • BIFM/IWFM accredited
  • IOSH accredited
  • Able to work under pressure and plan/prioritise workload
  • Motivated by the provision of high quality patient care
  • Motivated by a drive for improvement at all times
  • Attentive to individual needs yet able to make a decision to benefit the majority
  • An excellent communicator

Delivery Director

This is an exciting opportunity for a suitably experienced and dynamic individual to join our executive team to lead and shape this vibrant and innovative GP federation.

One Care has 82 GP practices within Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire as shareholders and our vision is to enable general practice to thrive and survive. We have already established ourselves as a progressive and valuable system partner, and have developed particular expertise in areas such as primary care data analytics and bringing innovation into primary care

The Delivery Director role involves:

  • Leading our ongoing operations and procedures
  • Responsible for the delivery of services and initiatives detailed within our Business Plan, through management of the Delivery Team, to support achievement of the organisation’s objectives and drive extensive and sustainable growth.
  • As a key member of the executive team support and engage with general practice, ensuring the needs of the member practices shape the One Care offering, whilst engaging at a system-wide level ensuring the voice of general practice is present and amplified.
  • Support the CEO and Board of Directors in the ongoing development of One Care as an organisation that consistently acts in the best interests of its shareholders and is an effective and indispensable general practice provider organisation within the local health and social care community.
  • Ensuring that One Care further develops and maintains a reputation for high quality delivery and customer service with both the general practice shareholders and the wider health and care system.
  • To develop strong working relationships across the health community and with stakeholders
  • Demonstrating commitment to our values of: Resilience – Trust – Compassion – Excellence – Ambition

Overall they will provide exceptional leadership, galvanising One Care staff and supporting wider general practice towards achieving the vision and business objectives.

The successful candidate will be:

  • Passionate about the value of primary care to the wider healthcare system
  • Able to lead an organisation and motivate staff to deliver against challenging objectives
  • Experienced in a senior operational delivery role within a primary care provider organisation
  • An exceptional communicator with adept stakeholder management skills
  • An experienced senior manager with experience in programme and project management
  • Able to demonstrate integrity, professionalism and a personal style which commands respect and credibility from others

Senior Marketing and Communications Manager

We have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and enthusiastic senior marketing and communications professional to join our friendly and innovative team. One Care is a GP federation that represents and supports 82 practices in Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire. Our vision is to enable general practice to survive and thrive.

We are looking for you to come in and hit the ground running. We have a reputation for putting out great communications and we want someone who can keep that going and drive the team forward. We need someone with experience of working at a senior level, who can get to grips with a complex and changing environment like primary care in 2019.

You’ll be working closely with our Executive Team on business development, acting as brand guardian for the organisation, overseeing all regular communications activities and helping us get to grips and develop further our marketing strategy. This is an exciting year for us – we are in the process of launching our new business plan and we will need innovative and measurable marketing campaigns to support our new services. You’ll also be responsible for line managing the Marketing and Communications Executive.

You will need to be:

  • Motivated by the idea of supporting GP practices to provide the best possible care for their patients
  • Able to work independently and to strict deadlines
  • Experienced in managing competing priorities, devising workflows and briefing processes to significantly improve skills, behaviour and impact of a team.
  • A brilliant writer and proof-reader with a keen eye for detail
  • Ambitious and creative
  • Able to put yourself in the shoes of your audience – many of whom are extremely busy
  • An excellent communicator – inspiring internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excited by the idea of joining a fun, friendly team

This role will lead all marketing and communications activities for One Care, working closely with the Exec Team to make sure they are in line with our vision, values and objectives.
