What we do

We are the largest GP federation in England, representing and supporting over 77 general practices and one million patients in BNSSG. We offer a number of direct support services to our practices, Primary Care Networks (PCNs) and localities. These cover a range of areas including digital, business intelligence and practice management. We also amplify the voice of practices in discussions about delivery of healthcare in our area.

Business intelligence

We use our expertise in general practice data to support our practices directly as well as to influence effective decision-making about the health of our local population. Each of our members is able to access their own dashboard, which is updated regularly with key information about activity and performance in their practice.

Practice support and resilience

We support our practices with many different aspects of running their business. We can help with operational queries and use our knowledge to signpost practices to the right place for a response. We offer expertise in practice finances and provide a programme of support to new members of management staff. We also produce best-practice resources to enable sharing of learning and reduce duplication.

Digital

We provide bespoke digital support to our practices, helping them to resolve issues and improve efficiencies. We also produce and share high-quality digital resources, ensuring consistency across our area and reducing the administrative burden on practices.

GPCB programmes and projects

We support general practice to pilot initiatives that support innovation and new models of care. We work closely with our partners across the local health and care system to enable transformation and improvements to patient care, ensuring general practice is properly resourced and represented within these programmes of work.

Representation

Historically underrepresented in discussions and decisions about the delivery of healthcare, we help to amplify the voice of general practice in the Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire health and care system.

Communications

Good communication is essential for all businesses. We support practices by streamlining and improving the communications they receive and working with them to strengthen their communication to their patients.

Support across the UK

Get in touch if you're a practice, federation or another organisation from outside Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire and you want to talk about how we might be able to help you.
